FAQs

What ages do you serve?

We currently work with kids ages 8–16. This range ensures students can safely use tools, follow instructions, and complete hands-on projects.

What skill level is required?

None at all. Every workshop is designed for beginners. We teach tool safety, basic techniques, and walk students through each step.

Is it safe for kids to use real tools?

Safety is the foundation of everything we do. We use age-appropriate tools, teach proper handling, maintain small instructor-to-student ratios, and supervise every step. Our goal is to empower kids while keeping them safe.

Do you offer an ongoing after-school program?

Yes. After-school launches Fall ‘26 (Tuesdays & Thursdays). Pop-ups help families get a preview and reserve interest early.

What is your instructor-to-student ratio?

We aim for 1 instructor per 8–10 students, depending on the project. For more complex builds or younger groups, we bring additional adults so every child has support.

What should my child wear?

Comfortable clothes that can be dusty, plus closed-toe shoes. We provide safety goggles and other protective gear.

Do kids need to bring anything?

No supplies are needed. We provide all tools, materials, safety equipment. A water bottle is recommended, and for longer sessions (summer/after-school), snacks or lunch depending on the schedule.

Can siblings attend together?

Yes. Mixed-age groups work well because older students often naturally take on leadership roles.

How do you choose projects for each session?

Projects are designed to be completed within the timeframe (pop-up: 3 hours, summer: 5-day progression, after-school: weekly builds). We create builds that balance fun, skill development, and safety — like treasure boxes, shelves, tool totes, or imaginative builds.

How does registration work for future programs?

Pop-ups open first and fill on a rolling basis. Summer camp registration opens in spring, and after-school enrollment begins mid-summer. Joining our email list ensures you get early access.

Can parents stay during the pop-up workshops?

You’re welcome to check out the space and get a feel for the environment, but most kids find it easier to focus once the session begins. Parents typically drop off and return at pickup time.

What if my child breaksor can’t finish their projects?

No problem. We help students fix, adjust, or creatively rebuild. If a project needs a bit more time, they can finish it at home or during their next workshop. The focus is on learning, not perfection.

How do you handle behavior or missteps with tools?

We use calm, clear, age-appropriate guidance. If a student struggles to follow safety rules, we redirect them to a non-tool activity until they’re ready to re-engage.

What if my child has learning differences or needs extra support?

We aim to create an inclusive, patient, and supportive environment. If your child needs additional accommodations, email us — we’ll do our best to work with your family.
